fri we got up and went swimming in our lovely pool. we had a mini party there since a lot of people from slc were able to join us. haha we thought we were only gonna swim a little but i think we ended up in that water for about 4 hours. we got a little ready and went to this awesome store called mothers. it was like a bigger and better whole foods. i got so much stuff there. after that we went to newport beach. it was kinda a little breezy when we got there so most of us girls layed out for a bit. the water seemed kinda cold but everybody said it was worth it. after mustering up some courage i jumped right in, best decision i ever made. haha. it was such a good time boogeyboarding on the waves. we went a little bit farther down and lots of people were just partying in the water. i got swept under a time or two but not anything that was serious and i think shrimp lost her sunglasses on one big wave. we were having a blast jumping the waves and seeing how far we could stand. i didnt ever want to get out. after awhile we layed out and caught some sunshine. even though we had put a lot of sunblock on i think this is where we got the most sunburned. haha bright red nose is not the look i wanted for the show... haha. i think al and cpg got the worst of it though... they were like little lobsters...
after the fun in the sun we headed back to the hotel room to get ready for the show... haha i think that was when our room smelled like girls the most. it really did smell so good.
we went to the show (which was the whole reason of this vacation) and i think like half of the people there were from slc, there was a lot anyway and we finally got to meet up w/ b-bomb and pretty much everybody else. i dont really remember the first band... i probably should have paid attention... haha. oops. but i do remember mean season if that counts! haha. they were really good. nothing even really happened during any of the bands leading up to disembodied. finally they came on. of course we were keeping close eyes on everyone to see what was going to happen from our awesome veiwpoint on the benches. i think about half way through is when some serious stuff was going down. of course it was with kids that have pretty much always had a problem w/ slc. stupid ef-es-you. ugh. not to mention most of them were the security too, as soon as i noticed that i was like "oh, great". there was kind of a big fight that got taken outside but it seems like they pretty much let everyone back inside. some of our boys got some bumps and bruises but it wasnt anything out of the ordinary.
the show ended ok and we pretty much had to make people go back to the hotel. the thing with trouble is that if you wait around for it, its gonna show up.
now on to the ending...
